Daughters of Isis, inc was founded by Gwen and her sister Debbie in 1991 as a
shop in Pompano Beach, Florida. Debbie introduced the largest in store
apothecary in South Florida at Daughters of Isis, filling her shelves with over 280
herbs, flowers, roots and fungi. Her apothecary was the beginning of Gwen's
relationship with the Devas. Gwen's work with her Native American teachers
inspired the creation of the first true Sweetgrass oil and the Medicine Oils began
the Ancestor Aromachologie'. She continues to study with Elders and Healers
from many cultures, completing the DOI catalog of collections. Gwen is an
aromachologist: a designer of fragrance to achieve a specific quality of mind to
motivate well being, personal healing and to expand the boundaries of your
imagination.
Gwen distills, extracts and blends proprietary formulas in balance with the
individual intelligence or consciousness of the Earth Mother's plant kingdom. She
is a flower essence practitioner who develops 'out of the box' flower essence
compositions to complete the subtle essences filling the DOI catalog. She
awakened to this natural intelligence as her unique college of healing and
consciousness morpho-gen. The sensual messages the Devas brought to her
triggered an intimate, fluid co-creative empathy and she began to blend.
Gwen studied aromatherapy in Britain at the International Academy of Holistic
Studies, she is MIFA qualified (1993). She earned her degree in psychology from
Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Listening to her subtle guidance, while
continuing to quicken her education in herbalism, aromachology and cosmology,
Gwen contributes as a writer on these combined applications. Gwen has created a
unique presentation of the Daughters of Isis Ancestor Aromachologie' catalog
introducing the stories of our Ancestors combined with the use of fragrance and
homeopathy. She edits the Sphinx newsletter for her company. She is a member
of the Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) in Boston, a college of
continuing education. Gwen speaks and gives workshops introducing the
Daughters of Isis Ancestor Aromachologie' internationally with her partner Asa J.
Hoffman.
